- What services and amenities do you think should be located near the Emergency Department to ensure easy access for all users? · Continued acute trauma and mental health services in downtown Windsor, especially overnight and on weekends when need is greatest · Full onsite diagnostic imaging services at both locations, including MRI · Adjacent surgical spaces at the Ouellette location so patients from Windsor’s central neighbourhoods can complete their treatment without having to travel to the hospital · The hospital needs to have enough inpatient beds in order to avoid bottlenecks in the Emergency Department e.g. during flu season · Continuous fast and free shuttle service for patients and caregivers requiring transfers between the Ouellette location, the main hospital site and HDGH on Prince Road · Renal care and cancer treatment at the Ouellette location · Highly accessible via public transit with bus stop at the entrance: served every 20 minutes or less by multiple bus routes with 24/7 service · Plentiful secure indoor bike racks for staff and patients · Neighbourhood integration with nearby restaurants, grocery stores and hotels
